Lydbrook Band is pleased to announce that they have received sponsorship for an online project from Renouf Wealth Management Ltd, a local Wealth Management business based in Mitcheldean. The band will use this financial support to prepare their online programme as part of an international festival and contest, organised by the Cory Band from South Wales, the world's number one brass band.
Speaking on behalf of Renouf Wealth Management, Ian Renouf-Watkins, their Managing Director said, “this year has been difficult in light of COVID-19, but particularly so for organisations in music and the arts, when it has been impossible to practice and perform publicly. With one of our team closely associated with Lydbrook Band and many clients who are musicians themselves, we are delighted to support a project that will help the band compete and reach a wider audience again.” Robert Morgan, secretary of the band, said, “we are very grateful to Ian and his team for supporting our project - it's been a tough year for us all with brass bands being no exception. We've had no income from concerts this year and to receive backing from one of the Forest's leading Financial Advice businesses is a boost for us all.”
